Police arrested a 26-year-old resident of Zgorzelec County suspected of theft and burglary. The man appeared twice at night in the economic zone in Gromadka municipality. He stole diesel fuel from the tanks of trucks.
The arrest was made possible through cooperation between officers from the District Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec and officers from local police stations. The total value of the stolen fuel amounted to nearly PLN 5,000.
Police also established that the suspect had driven a vehicle despite a decision revoking his driving privileges.
The 26-year-old was charged with four offenses in total. They concern theft, burglary and driving a vehicle despite having his driving privileges revoked.
The man now faces up to 10 years in prison.
