There will be another change to traffic organization near the construction site of the new bridge over the Bóbr River. From Wednesday afternoon, August 26, 2026, the next stage of temporary traffic organization will be introduced.
The most important change will concern Zgorzelecka Street. It will be closed to vehicle traffic from the entrance to the Orlen fuel station to the bridge.
At the same time, vehicle traffic will be diverted onto the new bridge structure. The changes are related to the reconstruction of the existing bridge and the construction of a new crossing over the Bóbr.
Drivers face detours
Due to the closure of part of Zgorzelecka Street, detours have been designated. Drivers traveling toward Zgorzelec will be directed via Wesoła Street, Bohaterów Getta Street and Tadeusza Kościuszki Street, and then along national road no. 94.
In turn, people traveling from the direction of Zgorzelec toward central Bolesławiec will have to use national road no. 94 and Tadeusza Kościuszki Street.
The changes mean that drivers traveling near the project should pay particular attention to the signage and prepare to use the designated detour routes.
The pedestrian route will also change
The new traffic organization will also cover pedestrians. From the existing pedestrian crossing along national road no. 94, the route will run along the municipal road—A. E. Fieldorf “Nil” Street—to Widok Street.
Pedestrians will then be able to head toward the center along the left side of the new bridge structure. The route will then lead to the pedestrian crossing at the J. Szmajdziński roundabout, and subsequently to Zgorzelecka Street and the pedestrian crossing at the intersection with Masarska Street.
The changes will last at least until the end of September
As reported, the new stage of temporary traffic organization will take effect on August 26 in the afternoon. It is expected to remain in force until the end of September 2026.
Drivers and pedestrians should therefore expect disruptions near the ongoing project over the coming weeks. Before traveling, it is advisable to take the designated detours into account and pay attention to current signage near the construction site.
