The renovation of the road surface at the Bolesławiec interchange on the A4 motorway is entering its next phase. The General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways (GDDKiA) has announced the opening of bids in the tender concerning works on the interchange ramps.

This is an important step before the project begins. The tender committee is now analyzing and evaluating the bids submitted by companies. Only after this stage is completed will it be possible to identify the contractor and then sign an agreement with them.

GDDKiA has allocated just over PLN 1.3 million for the renovation of the Bolesławiec interchange. As part of a separate procedure, work is also being carried out on the renovation of the Budziszów, Udanin, Gościsław, Kostomłoty and Kąty Wrocławskie interchanges. The road authorities plan to allocate more than PLN 5.4 million to this scope of work.

What will be renovated?

The works will cover the road surfaces on the ramps of the motorway interchanges. GDDKiA primarily plans to replace the wearing and binder courses of the pavement.

The project also includes reinforcing the shoulders and restoring road markings. The works are to be carried out in stages so that disruption for drivers is limited to the necessary minimum.

For now, it is not known exactly when work will begin at the Bolesławiec interchange. Detailed information about traffic organization and the work schedule will be provided after the agreement is signed with the selected contractor.

GDDKiA emphasizes that the main objectives of the project are to improve the technical condition of the road surface, increase driving comfort and improve the safety of road users.
