Police officers from the Police Station in Kruszyna received information about a fuel theft that had occurred moments earlier at one of the stations. The value of the stolen fuel was estimated at nearly PLN 500.

The officers also established that the perpetrator was traveling in a car equipped with license plates assigned to another vehicle. The police began searching for the car.

The vehicle matching the description was stopped in one of the localities in Warta Bolesławiecka municipality. A 32-year-old resident of Zgorzelec County was behind the wheel. A 23-year-old resident of Lubań County was also in the vehicle.

Passenger was carrying marijuana

During police proceedings, officers found drugs on the woman. According to the police, the 23-year-old possessed several portions of marijuana. Both individuals were detained.

The 32-year-old will be held responsible for the fuel theft and for using license plates assigned to another vehicle. He faces up to five years in prison for these offenses. The passenger, meanwhile, could face up to three years behind bars.
