During the night of August 12–13, a passenger car caught fire in Szczytnica. A vehicle began to burn, and, as we were able to establish, a bystander attempted to extinguish it before the firefighters arrived.
After arriving at the scene, the firefighters extinguished the remaining flames. Fortunately, no one suffered anything more serious.
Police were also present at the scene. They are investigating the causes and circumstances of the incident.
As a Reader told us, witnesses said that arson may have occurred there.
A vehicle fire can quickly pose a serious threat to people nearby, as well as to other vehicles and structures. Fire can rapidly spread to other parts of the car, while high temperatures and smoke make it difficult to conduct firefighting operations safely. That is why such incidents require a quick response and intervention by the emergency services.
