According to Dolnośląskie Alarmowo, the driver's life could not be saved despite resuscitation efforts.
The incident occurred on Wednesday morning, 12 August, before 9:00 a.m., at the 39th kilometre of the A4 motorway, near Dobra. Emergency services from Bolesławiec County were dispatched to the scene. The truck broke through the motorway barriers and ended up outside its carriageway
One person injured
At the scene, a medical rescue team is assisting one person. It is not yet known how serious the person's injuries are.
A4 blocked towards Zgorzelec
The accident caused major traffic disruptions. The A4 motorway carriageway towards Zgorzelec has been completely blocked.
Disruptions are also affecting the carriageway towards Wrocław. The left lane there is impassable.
Police have closed the motorway near Łąka and are preparing detours. Drivers travelling on the A4 in the Bolesławiec area should expect disruptions and follow the instructions of the emergency services.
Emergency services are still working at the scene. The circumstances and exact course of the incident will be determined.
