The latest recording sent by a reader shows two people riding one electric scooter. It is being driven by a boy wearing a helmet. The other person is probably a girl who is not wearing a helmet.

However, this is not the only problem visible in the recording. Several very dangerous behaviors occur during the ride.

The young people enter Tamka Street from Kościuszki Street. They then ride against traffic in the lane intended for traffic in the opposite direction. At one point, they also cross a double solid line and then turn toward Ogrodowa Street without signaling the maneuver in advance.

Everything happens in the immediate vicinity of cars. The driver of the vehicle whose dashcam recorded the entire incident has to watch the unpredictable behavior of the people on the scooter.

More and more such recordings

This is not the first case to reach our editorial office. Readers are increasingly sending recordings showing dangerous behavior by scooter users in Bolesławiec. They show, among other things, several people riding one scooter, crossing intersections in violation of the rules, riding against traffic, and making sudden maneuvers without paying attention to other road users.

In the case of electric scooters, it is particularly dangerous that their users are practically unprotected in a collision with a car. Even an apparently minor mistake can end in a serious accident.

In the latest recording, it is difficult to speak of a single minor offense. Two people on one scooter, riding against traffic, crossing a double solid line, and turning without properly signaling the maneuver—these are behaviors that can have very serious consequences on the road.

What is most concerning, however, is that the young people apparently do not realize the risk they are taking. All it takes is a moment of inattention by a driver or an unexpected reaction from someone riding the scooter for tragedy to occur.

An electric scooter is not a toy. Rules apply on the road, and ignoring them can cost people their health or even their lives.
