On Friday, we reported that a warning about contaminated drinking water containing E. coli bacteria had appeared on the Nowogrodziec municipal office’s website. According to the latest sanitary inspection tests, the water in Nowogrodziec is now safe to drink. Below, we present today’s statement from the district sanitary inspector:

The State District Sanitary Inspector in Bolesławiec informs that, based on laboratory tests of water samples [...], collected on September 10, 2011, from the water supply network in Nowogrodziec by the PWiK Laboratory in Bolesławiec Sp. z o.o., the water quality meets the microbiological requirements of the Regulation of the Minister of Health of March 29, 2007, on the quality of water intended for human consumption [...].

In view of the above, it is hereby stated that water from the water supply network in Nowogrodziec is fit for human consumption.
