The Nowogrodziec municipal authorities announced the installation of the water mist curtain. The facility has been set up in the Market Square and is available to everyone in the town centre. During periods of high temperatures, it allows people to cool down briefly and improves comfort while outdoors.

At the same time, the town authorities remind residents that particular caution should be exercised during heatwaves. High temperatures can be burdensome, especially for seniors, young children and people with chronic illnesses. Regular water consumption, limiting physical exertion during the hottest hours of the day and avoiding prolonged exposure to direct sunlight are therefore recommended.

The municipal authorities encourage residents and visitors to Nowogrodziec to use the water mist curtain while walking or handling matters in the town centre. Even a brief moment of relief can help during a period of persistently high temperatures.

During hot weather, it is worth remembering the basic safety rules. The body is best kept hydrated by drinking regularly throughout the day; people should wear light, breathable clothing and protect their heads from the sun. It is also a good idea to choose shaded areas and plan activities for the morning or evening, when temperatures are lower.

Attention should also be paid to those most vulnerable to the effects of high temperatures, including seniors, children and people living with chronic illnesses. Children and animals must never be left in locked cars, even for a short time. If symptoms of overheating occur, such as dizziness, weakness or nausea, the body should be cooled as quickly as possible and, if necessary, the appropriate medical services should be contacted.
