The District Prosecutor’s Office in Kamienna Góra has filed an indictment with the District Court against a 28-year-old resident of Kamienna Góra County. The man will stand trial for a series of thefts and robberies allegedly committed at Lidl and Biedronka stores in Kamienna Góra.

Investigators determined that between 10 December 2025 and 27 January 2026, the defendant robbed one of the Biedronka stores seven times. He stole 10 bottles of whisky worth a total of PLN 933.

According to the prosecutor’s findings, the man followed a repeated pattern. He entered the store, put bottles of alcohol into a shopping bag, and left it by an unmanned checkout before leaving the premises. After making sure he was not being watched, he returned for the bag and left the store without paying for the goods.

The investigation also established that on 8 December 2025, the defendant tried to take five packages of coffee from a Lidl supermarket. He was noticed by a security guard, who attempted to apprehend him. Investigators determined that the perpetrator struck the guard in the chest, pushed him away and tried to hit him in the face, then fled, leaving behind the bag containing the goods.

Another incident occurred on 8 April 2026 at a Biedronka store. This time, the 28-year-old allegedly stole two bottles of alcohol worth PLN 244. When the security guard tried to stop him, the defendant allegedly threatened to kill him, grabbed him by the arm and pushed him away, then fled with the stolen goods.

During a search of the premises occupied by the man, officers also secured 0.96 grams of marijuana. As a result, he was additionally charged with possessing a narcotic substance.

The suspect confessed to the alleged offenses and gave explanations. The prosecutor’s office emphasizes that he had previously been convicted multiple times and allegedly committed the new offenses as a repeat offender.

The 28-year-old is currently being held in pre-trial detention, awaiting the start of his trial. The offenses with which he is charged carry a sentence of up to 15 years in prison.
