Residents of Bolesławiec and visitors to the city had the opportunity to take part in an extraordinary musical event. On Saturday, July 25, a concert was held in the Market Square, featuring two ensembles representing different musical traditions – the Bolesławiec Municipal Wind Orchestra (conducted by bandmaster Jan Chojnacki) and the Brass Quintet of the United States Army 1st Infantry Division Band, conducted by Warrant Officer 1 Bridget E. Olenik, the orchestra’s bandmaster and commander.

The well-known Bolesławiec singer Wiktoria Eliaszewicz also performed as a guest with the musicians from the City of Ceramics and the USA.

Among those listening to the concert were Major General Monté L. Rone, head of the United States Army 1st Infantry Division, and Robert Rzepnicki, first deputy mayor of Bolesławiec.

The joint performance showed that music knows no borders and can bring people together regardless of language or origin, and it was warmly received by the gathered audience.

The concert was held as part of the series “Musically in Bolesławiec – KULTURALNIK 2026”, organized by the Bolesławiec Cultural Center – International Ceramics Center.
