We received the following report from a reader who signed it Gall Anonim:

I am contacting you with a request to take an interest in the situation at the Biedronka store on Chrobrego Street (...) in Bolesławiec. Until recently, after the store reopened following renovations, everything looked exemplary: the aisles were clear, the store was orderly, and shopping could be done comfortably. Today, the same store increasingly resembles a warehouse or an obstacle course rather than a place intended for customers. Pallets are standing practically everywhere, passageways are blocked, and moving around the store is difficult, especially for elderly people, parents with prams, and people with limited mobility.

The person who submitted the report added:

The most concerning thing, however, is that one of the photographs shows a pallet placed in front of a marked emergency exit. This raises a very serious question: who is responsible for this state of affairs? Is it a decision by the store management, regional management, or an organisational method imposed by the entire chain?

And added: “It is difficult to understand why more pallets are being put out in the store when they remain unpacked for a long time. Why turn the store into a warehouse at the expense of customers’ safety and comfort?”

They concluded: “As a resident of Bolesławiec, I am asking you to look into this matter. I hope we will not have to wait for a fire, evacuation, or an unfortunate accident before someone acknowledges that the problem exists. Residents should not have to accept shopping in such conditions.”

From our own observations, we know that the problem mentioned does not concern only the Biedronka store on Chrobrego Street in Bolesławiec. We asked the popular chain about the matter. We are awaiting a response.
