A 35-year-old resident of Bolesławiec County who had been hiding from justice for a long time was arrested by officers from the Police Station in Kruszyn. The man was wanted by the District Court in Bolesławiec to serve a five-month prison sentence for previous thefts.
The matter did not end there, however. As reported by the County Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec, the collected evidence enabled investigators to bring additional charges against the detainee.
According to the police findings, the 35-year-old allegedly broke into utility rooms belonging to the Warta Bolesławiecka Municipal Office twice. He allegedly stole a cable and recreational equipment from these locations.
The man is also suspected of stealing power tools from private property. In addition, he will be held responsible for making criminal threats.
After his arrest, the 35-year-old was taken to a penitentiary, where he will serve the previously imposed five-month prison sentence. Independently of that, he will face responsibility for the new acts of which he is suspected.
For the property crimes with which he has now been charged, he faces up to 10 years in prison.
