Coming from the area around Bolesławiec, Sister Dobromiła Marta Mielnicka, a graduate of our I Liceum Ogólnokształcące, died on June 26, 2026, at the age of 54. For more than three decades, she was involved in religious education and youth education, and from 2019 she served as deputy headmistress of St. Jadwiga General Secondary School in Kielce.

The Diocese of Kielce announced Sister Dobromiła’s death. A nun from the Congregation of the Sisters of Nazareth, she was involved for many years in pastoral and educational work, teaching religious education to children and young people.

She began teaching religious education in 1992. Over the years, she was associated, among other places, with the Church of the Holy Spirit parish in Kielce. For many students and colleagues, she was not only a religious education teacher but also someone involved in school life and the upbringing of young people.

The funeral ceremonies will take place on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at 10:30 a.m., in the Chapel of the Sisters of Nazareth at 10 St. Marcin Street in Wrocław. After the Mass, the body will be escorted to the cemetery at 51 Bujwida Street.

For those unable to attend the funeral in Wrocław, a Requiem Mass will be celebrated the previous day—Monday, June 29, at 4:00 p.m.—in the Cathedral Basilica in Kielce. It will be presided over by Bishop Marian Florczyk.

The Diocese of Kielce asked the faithful to pray for the deceased.
