It was one of the most eagerly awaited moments at the beginning of summer in Bolesławiec. On Friday, June 26, the season began at the outdoor swimming pools on Spacerowa Street.
As early as before 1:00 p.m., residents and people who wanted to use the facility from the first minutes of operation began gathering at the entrance.
The outdoor swimming pools attracted not only people from Bolesławiec. As we heard, cars with German and English license plates appeared in the parking lot.
Such great interest should not come as a surprise, however. The outdoor swimming pools are among the most popular summer attractions in the city. In the previous season, according to data presented by the city authorities, more than 35,000 people visited the facility during its two months of operation.
The first day of this year's season shows that interest in summer recreation in Bolesławiec remains very high. The coming weeks and—as usual—the weather will determine whether last year's attendance record can be surpassed.
