Removal of the outage effects is underway
On Saturday afternoon, June 20, strong winds caused a power grid failure in several localities in the region.
Information provided by Tauron Dystrybucja indicates that the first reported outages appeared after 4:00 p.m. Power crews are working to restore electricity supplies.
Where are power interruptions occurring?
As of 4:40 p.m., customers in the following localities remain without power:
Osła and Krzyżowa area
The outage was reported at 4:14 p.m. Power supply interruptions affect the following localities:
- Osła,
- Krzyżowa,
- Rozyniec.
The expected time for removing the outage and restoring power is 6:00 p.m.
Nowa Kuźnia and Pasternik area
Another outage began at 4:38 p.m. Power supply problems are occurring in:
- Nowa Kuźnia,
- Pasternik.
The expected time for power restoration is 6:30 p.m.
Wierzbowa and Gromadka area
An outage affecting the following localities has also been ongoing since 4:38 p.m.:
- Wierzbowa,
- Motyle,
- Pasternik,
- Gromadka,
- Borówki.
In this case, Tauron also expects the outage to be resolved at around 6:30 p.m.
Tauron is removing the effects of the strong winds
The power grid operator did not provide detailed information about the causes of the individual outages, but their occurrence coincides with a windstorm passing through the region. Strong gusts can damage power lines, cause trees and branches to fall onto wires, and lead to other disruptions in grid operations.
Residents of the affected localities should follow the operator’s announcements regarding work progress and any changes to the expected time for restoring power supplies.
