As reported by investmap.pl, one of the region’s largest investments in the renewable-energy sector is taking shape around 50 kilometers from Bolesławiec. The Spanish group will build an advanced manufacturing plant for towers used in onshore wind turbines at CTPark Legnica. For the residents of Lower Silesia, the main takeaway is concrete: 300 new jobs.
– We are looking for welders, engineers and skilled workers from the metalworking industry – the investor says. Anyone experienced in precision steel processing and the assembly of large-scale structures will find employment here. The factory will produce tower segments up to 40 meters long and weighing up to 80 tons each.
Full production readiness is expected to be achieved in the fourth quarter of 2026. The factory will be capable of producing up to 200 towers annually. This is one of the largest investments in this segment in Central and Eastern Europe.
Turbines for Poland and Germany
The towers from Legnica will mainly go to the Polish and German markets. The location in Lower Silesia is a strategic choice—the proximity of the western border facilitates the transport of huge, oversized components to customers across the Oder.
The investment is also an important signal for Poland’s entire renewable-energy sector. Having such a large component manufacturer locally shortens supply chains and makes the Polish market less dependent on imports from the Far East. As the number of onshore wind farms in Poland grows, demand for locally manufactured towers will increase.
For Legnica and the whole of Lower Silesia, this means not only new jobs but also an opportunity to attract further investors from the modern-technology sector.
