On Sunday afternoon, May 31, the Old Theatre in Bolesławiec was filled with the sounds of classical, film and popular music during an exceptional Spring Concert. The event brought together numerous residents and music lovers, who had the opportunity to hear performances by young, talented musicians from the Feliks Nowowiejski State Music School of the First and Second Degree in Zgorzelec.
Two orchestras performed on stage: the String Orchestra conducted by Anna Krupa and the Wind Orchestra conducted by Jagoda Leśniak. The audience heard a varied repertoire – from classical works to well-known film music compositions. Pieces referring to the world of fairy tales were particularly warmly received, bringing smiles to the faces of the youngest listeners.
The concert was also one of the events accompanying the celebrations of the 60th anniversary of the State Music School in Zgorzelec. The school’s activities and the performers were presented to the audience by the institution’s director, Dorota Barczyk.
The event was attended by Bolesławiec County Council Chairman Maciej Małkowski, who, on behalf of the local authorities, thanked the artists for their beautiful performance, presenting flowers to the conductors and concert soloists.
The concert was held under the patronage of Bolesławiec County Head Tomasz Gabrysiak. The wonderful atmosphere, high artistic standard of the performances and enthusiastic audience reactions made Sunday’s musical gathering a memorable event for everyone who attended.
