He wrote to us a reader, a resident of the Jana Pawła II Estate:

I would like to raise a subject that may be sensitive for some, but the question is: (...) what is the person who put loudspeakers outside the church on Jana Pawła II Street trying to achieve? Since it has been prohibited from ringing bells for several years, loudspeakers were put up, and every Mass means shouting into a microphone. Today it is quiet because it is an ordinary weekday, but on Sundays I can hear all the Masses at home.

He added:

The acoustics of the estate favour the spread of sound waves and on Sundays, when peace prevails all around, everything can be heard in the surrounding buildings. The question is whether this does not constitute a violation of the peace of the home?

The person who submitted the report stressed: “I ask for this situation to be interpreted rationally and for an answer as to whether the peace of the home is not being violated here. I would add that there is no such problem in winter, but as soon as it gets slightly warmer, the priest ‘gets going’ together with his loudspeakers.”

And he summed up:

And what if someone does not want to listen to Mass? I know this is not a request concert, but the situation—at least for my family—is annoying. What is the point? Probably only to discourage people from the Church even more. Because if a person cannot even get some sleep on Sunday because the priest is “making his life more pleasant” with a Mass, how is a normal person supposed to react? Well, I, for example, am angry.

On 28 May, we asked the parish about the matter. We have not received a response so far.
