Good morning. Perhaps it would be worth writing about the 30% increase in ticket prices at Orka from one day to the next. The new price list has been in effect since 5 May. Is this how sport is promoted in this city? Sports clubs have also received new prices for lane rentals, so membership fees are going up, and swimming is already expensive for me (...).

We asked Miejski Ośrodek Sportu i Rekreacji w Bolesławcu for comment.

Here is the MOSiR response:

We inform you that a new MOSiR Bolesławiec price list has been in effect at the Orka swimming pool since 5 May. Prices for holders of the Bolesławiec Resident Card have remained unchanged, guaranteeing residents preferential terms for using the facility. The price increase, driven by rising facility maintenance costs and higher utility charges, applies exclusively to people without a BKM card.

In response to the inquiry, we inform you that it is untrue that prices at the “Orka” swimming pool increased by 30% overnight. Information about the new price list was officially announced on 20 April 2026. The legal basis for these changes is a resolution published in the Official Journal of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship (2026, item 2000), and it was also made available sufficiently in advance at MOSiR facilities. At the same time, we inform you that sports clubs—like other entities—may use the full range of services provided for in the Centre’s price list.
