During the May session of the Bolesławiec County Council, a question was raised about the merger of the hospitals in Bolesławiec and Zgorzelec. Who will lead the joint unit?
As Bolesławiec County Executive Tomasz Gabrysiak stressed, the competition procedure for selecting a director “is quite complicated”—perhaps even more so than choosing the head of an educational institution.
The head of the county government explained that first the competition committee must adopt its regulations, and then prepare an announcement that must be made public for a certain period of time.
This will be followed by a period for submitting applications, of which there must be at least two.
It looks like it will take some time before we officially learn the name of the new director of the joint hospitals. The first meeting of the aforementioned committee is scheduled to take place at the beginning of June.
