On Sunday (7 August), a first-round Polish Cup match was played on the pitch in Warta Bolesławiecka. The hosts’ opponents were BKS Bobrzanie. In the opening minutes, the hosts created two dangerous attacks. Janowski and Zawada shot at the Bolesławiec goal, but their attempts were off target. BKS responded with shots from Graczyk and Filipiak. The former’s effort was too weak, while the latter’s was blocked by a home defender. Warta’s players had their best opportunity in the 20th minute. Janowski sent an accurate shot at Bartosz Bochnia’s goal, but the BKS goalkeeper was not caught off guard. In the 29th minute, BKS took the lead. Following a one-two move by Żmudziński and Filipiak, the home defence failed to react in time, and Filipiak beat the Warta goalkeeper with a precise shot. In the 44th minute, Filipiak scored again. This time, the BKS player dribbled past several defenders on his own and made it 2–0.
In the 57th minute, the BKS goalkeeper with difficulty saved a shot by a home player. However, as the match progressed, the Bolesławiec side’s advantage became increasingly clear. The hosts played with growing inaccuracy and visibly ran out of energy. Meanwhile, BKS did not force the pace but consistently created increasingly dangerous scoring opportunities. After one of them, in the 72nd minute, Bochnia beat the Warta goalkeeper with a header. In the 85th minute, Wojciechowski set the final score at 4–0 for BKS. In the closing stages, Warta’s players could have scored a consolation goal, but they lacked accuracy.
