Drivers traveling to Germany on Tuesday morning were stuck in one of the biggest traffic jams in recent months. On the A4 motorway, before the Ludwigsdorf border crossing, the congestion had already reached 18 kilometers, while serious disruptions were also occurring on national roads 94 and 30 and in Zgorzelec itself. The causes are increased traffic related to the extended weekend on the German side and checks conducted by the German Federal Police. Drivers looking for an alternative currently have only a few less congested border crossings at their disposal.
It has started! From early morning, a nightmarish traffic jam formed on the A4 motorway toward Germany. As reported by eluban.pl:
At eight o’clock, the traffic jam was already eighteen kilometers long and stretched continuously from the Godzieszów interchange to the crossing in Ludwigsdorf.
The situation is similar on national roads 94 and 30.
The reason? An extended weekend among our western neighbors, as well as checks by the local police.
Drivers have no choice but to be patient.
