A dramatic incident that took place on the night from Tuesday to Wednesday (12–13 May) in an apartment block on Jastrzębia Street in Lubin, we reported two days ago. The bodies of two men, aged 30 and 31, were found in one of the apartments. A third man, aged 34, was taken to hospital in serious condition.

According to findings provided to the Fakt website by the Legnica district prosecutor’s office, four men had spent the evening together before the tragedy. After an argument, the 21-year-old was thrown out of the apartment. He returned with a firearm and began shooting.

According to unofficial information, the men were connected with the hooligan-fan community. The background may have involved settling scores and the trafficking of psychoactive substances.

Since Wednesday, police had been conducting an intensive search for the 21-year-old. It turned out that the man was hiding in the Greater Poland Voivodeship, in the village of Bodzewo near Gostynin.

On Friday, 15 May, after 8:30 a.m., in one of the counties of the Greater Poland Voivodeship, police officers intervened following a report about a man unknown to local residents who was staying in an open-access gazebo.

As an officer approached the scene, the man took his own life using a firearm.

Further actions carried out by police officers from Greater Poland and officers of the Lower Silesian Police, including those from Lubin, confirmed that he was the man who had been wanted for several days.

He was suspected of involvement in a serious criminal incident that took place in Lubin.

The case remains under the supervision of the prosecutor’s office and, in the interests of the investigation, these are all the details that can be disclosed at this stage.
