Collection organizer:

My name is Violetta Górska-Głowacka, and I am a home hospice physician. On April 15, 2026, I admitted 39-year-old Małgorzata to the hospice. From my first visit, I was deeply impressed by the peace, mutual kindness and love that prevailed in this family despite the tragic circumstances.

Małgorzata learned that she had cancer while pregnant. In December 2025, she underwent a mastectomy, and at the beginning of 2026 she gave birth to her youngest daughter, Laura. (...) On May 11, Małgorzata lost her battle with the disease, leaving her husband and six children in a very difficult situation.

A family in need

The physician: – Mr Tomasz cared for his wife with extraordinary dedication until the very end – he gave her injections every four hours while also looking after three-month-old Laura and the older children. Unfortunately, fate has not spared the children health problems:

  • The oldest son (19) a mild brain tumor under observation
  • 17-year-old son has type 1 diabetes, epilepsy and impaired vision in his right eye.
  • 14-year-old twin girls have disability certificates.
  • There is also a 5-year-old son and an infant at home – three-month-old Laura.

A struggle for a roof over their heads

Until now, the family had rented an apartment costing PLN 4,000 per month. Unfortunately, Mr Tomasz’s employment contract ended on April 30.

Collection organizer:

Thanks to the great generosity of the Commune Head and the councillors, the family was given the opportunity to live in a village community center. However, this is only a temporary solution, and the premises must urgently be adapted for residential purposes.

What is the money being raised for?

Mr Tomasz is in the process of applying for a survivor’s pension and benefits, but these procedures take a very long time. He manages very well with the children, but he has no one who could support him in caring for them. The money raised will help to:

  1. Adapt the community center to residential needs (renovation and furnishings).
  2. Provide the children with a dignified life (purchase of medication, specialized food, diapers for Laura, etc.).
  3. Get through the period until official benefits are paid.

The organizer concludes:

As a physician who witnessed this struggle up close, I ask you for help. Mr Tomasz is doing everything in his power to provide the children with peace after the loss of their mother. Let us show him that he is not alone in this struggle.

And she adds:

Every donation is a chance for a safe home for six children who have already lost far too much.

You can help!
