The incident occurred early on Wednesday, 20 July. The intoxicated 55-year-old, a resident of Gromadka municipality, first killed his own cat and then used a rubber truncheon to beat a dog tied to a chain and two puppies to death. The suspect was apprehended by police officers on 21 July. He explained to them that he had killed the animals because he had drunk too much. He now faces up to two years in prison.
