The incident occurred on April 29, in the evening hours, in the village of Borówki. Thuja trees caught fire near residential buildings, resulting in heavy smoke.
Firefighters from Wierzbowa and Gromadka were immediately dispatched to the scene. The officers quickly began firefighting operations.
Thanks to the efficient intervention by the emergency services, the situation was brought under control and the fire was prevented from spreading to residential buildings. Fortunately, no one was injured.
Firefighters emphasize that fires of this type – especially during dry periods – can spread very quickly. Thuja trees and other coniferous plants are particularly flammable, so even a small source of fire can lead to a dangerous situation.
The services appeal for caution and for avoiding actions that could cause a fire to start near buildings and green areas.
