One of the items on the agenda of the April session of the Bolesławiec County Council was a vote on a draft resolution concerning the setting of a new salary for the Bolesławiec County Head Tomasz Gabrysiak. The document provides for adjusting the salary to the new limits set out in a regulation of the Council of Ministers, which has been in force since the beginning of 2026.
Councillor Radosław Palczewski disagreed with the resolution. “The change that has been introduced is automatic. It is about ensuring that the Bolesławiec County Head no longer has to ask for a raise. Under this wording of the resolution, whenever the regulation changes, the county head will receive a higher salary without asking the council for approval. That is the real reason for this solution,” explains Radosław Palczewski.
After rejecting the amendment proposed by the councillor, the council adopted the resolution with 13 votes in favour. Six councillors, including councillors from the Civic Coalition, abstained.
Those who voted in favour:
- Agnieszka Kozioł
- Alina Zarembecka
- Antoni Stec
