On Saturday, April 25, 2026, the 12th Religious Song Review “Praise the Lord with Joy” was held at the Church of Our Lady of Częstochowa in Gościszów. The event attracted as many as 165 performers from the entire county, along with their supervisors.
The review was organized by the Jan Paul II Primary School in Gościszów. The competition has enjoyed great interest for years and has become an important part of the local cultural events calendar.
A unique atmosphere and important guests
This year’s edition was honored by the presence of invited guests: Nowogrodziec Mayor Joanna Świder and Gościszów Village Head Ludwik Torba.
Soloists, duets, groups and scholas competing in seven age categories performed on stage. The audience could hear both traditional religious songs and modern pieces with a spiritual message.
Jury: the standard was very high
The performances were assessed by a jury consisting of Marek Łętowski, Sister Anna Mikołajewicz and Father Piotr Żukowski. The jurors unanimously emphasized the participants’ high artistic standard, while the committee’s chair, Marek Łętowski, gave the young performers valuable advice on vocal technique and further development.

The 12th Religious Song Review in Gościszów was not only an opportunity to showcase talents, but also a space for sharing values that bring generations together. The organizers have already announced the next edition of the event. Everything indicates that Gościszów will once again resound with music next year.
