A dangerous incident occurred on the border between the counties. At around 5:50 p.m., firefighters from OSP Węgliniec were dispatched to a fire. This time, flames appeared between the towns of Czerwona Woda and Wykroty.
As the firefighters reported, a passenger car was destroyed, and the fire also spread to nearby wasteland. The flames engulfed several dozen ares of dry vegetation.
Due to the location of the incident and the scale of the fire, several fire service units were sent to the scene. Firefighters from the following units worked there:
- OSP Węgliniec
- OSP Czerwona Woda
- OSP Czerna
- OSP Wykroty.
Units from our county also took part in the operation.
Rescuers conducted firefighting operations both around the vehicle and in the open area engulfed by flames. Thanks to the rapid response, the situation was brought under control and further spread of the fire was prevented.
