The complete or partial suspension of passenger train services in the area of the former Jelenia Góra Voivodeship will be discussed on Friday. Local government authorities will meet with representatives of PKP and industry trade unions. Members of Parliament from the Legnica–Jelenia Góra constituency and the deputy marshal of the Regional Assembly have also been invited to attend the meeting.
The meeting will also address shortening train travel times, the takeover by the Municipality of Bolesławiec of the Eastern Station grounds and the Main Station building, as well as the elimination of “service 90” at ticket offices—that is, the Central System for the Reservation of Seats and Sale of Domestic and International Tickets. Consequently, such a move would mean the complete elimination of ticket offices and the inability to purchase a ticket before departure.
