As part of the provincial inspection and prevention campaign “Safe on the motorway and expressway”, officers from the Traffic Department of the Provincial Police Headquarters in Wrocław carried out intensified checks on the Bolesławiec section of the A4 motorway.

Using drones, the officers monitored drivers’ behaviour. They paid particular attention to violations of the overtaking ban by heavy goods vehicles, as well as the use of mobile phones while driving, seat-belt use, compliance with speed limits and drivers’ sobriety.
Road patrols from Lubań, Lwówek Śląski, Legnica, Złotoryja, Zgorzelec and Bolesławiec also took part in the operation involving drones.
A total of 43 offences were detected, including as many as 36 involving improper overtaking.
