The incident occurred on Sunday, March 8. In the afternoon, emergency services were dispatched to one of the apartments in a block on Spółdzielcza Street in Bolesławiec.
Firefighters forced their way into the apartment because there was no contact with the man who was inside. Fortunately, help arrived in time and, after the apartment was opened, the man was attended to by the emergency medical team.
Let us not remain indifferent
The number of people who live alone, are ill or elderly is growing rapidly. According to the latest data, older people often struggle with health problems, limited mobility and a sense of loneliness. Therefore, the number of such and similar interventions by emergency services will increase.
In such circumstances, everyday life can become difficult—not everyone has family nearby, and some people are unable to use the available forms of social support. Loneliness and illness mean that even minor daily activities, such as shopping, going to the doctor or simply having a conversation, can often be a challenge. That is why it is so important that we do not remain indifferent to our neighbors.
