Last night, officers from the Bolesławiec traffic police stopped a passenger car in the city centre for inspection. Three people were travelling in it. The initial findings already indicated that the driver was in serious trouble with the law.
During the intervention, the officers checked the identities of the 25-year-old driver and two passengers. A check in police databases revealed that the resident of Bolesławiec did not have a licence to drive vehicles. A breathalyser test was negative, but a drug test showed the presence of drugs in his system.
That was not the end of the irregularities. The car did not have a valid technical inspection, and the registration plates mounted on it belonged to another vehicle, which is a crime.
The resident of Bolesławiec was arrested. He will now face court for the crimes and offences he committed. He faces up to 5 years in prison.
