A series of articles on istotne.pl concerned the relationship between the management board, nominees of the Civic Coalition, and the Trade Union of ZC “Bolesławiec” Employees. The articles were widely discussed because they concerned the fact that the management board dismisses employees with several decades of service with great ease and thus fights the Trade Union.
The management board’s response concerns the texts below.
- Zakłady Ceramiczne Bolesławiec. Fourth commandment: honor your president and board member
- The ceramics president first dismissed an employee and then sued him for PLN 25,000
- Can someone be punished for saving a person who could not save herself? Ewa’s story from Zakłady Ceramiczne Bolesławiec.
In the first article, President Grzesikowski did not address the dismissals described by employees, but in the next two, the position he sent was included.
It is therefore surprising that the president did not send his statement to our editorial office as a response to the articles. We would have published such a response free of charge.
How much did the statement cost?
We asked President Arkadiusz Grzesikowski why the company paid for the publication and how much it paid. We also asked why, on the first day, the text was not marked as paid content (the information appeared only the following day), and why the management board did not publish the statement free of charge on its own website or as a response to the articles—also free of charge—on istotne.pl.
President Grzesikowski did not answer how much the advertisement cost. He only explained that marking articles as sponsored is the responsibility of the publisher running the material.
– Not all positions of the management board have to be published on the Company’s website. The publication of the management board’s statement dated 23 February 2026 was not preceded by the conclusion of a special paid agreement for the broadcasting of dedicated material concerning the statement – added Arkadiusz Grzesikowski.
We also asked how much ZCB paid in 2025 for banners and sponsored articles to the portal where the position was published. We asked whether they would make their communication policy available to us so that we could better understand how it operates. We also asked the president to dispel any doubts that he had paid for the statement in accordance with the law. We are awaiting these answers.
Below is the president’s full response to questions about the paid publication of the statement.
The decision regarding the form of publication of the statement was made במסגרת the adopted communication policy. Matters concerning the material’s labeling are the responsibility of the editorial office, in accordance with its publication rules.
Decisions on the choice of communication channel and publication format are made each time, guided by the effectiveness of the message. Cooperation with the media may be either unpaid or paid, depending on the arrangements adopted. The scope and place of publication of individual communications are determined appropriately to their nature and purpose. Not all positions of the Management Board have to be published on the Company’s website.
We emphasize that Zakłady Ceramiczne Bolesławiec Sp. z o.o. conduct communication activities in accordance with applicable laws and within the bounds of the decision-making autonomy vested in the Management Board.
To prevent any potential inaccuracies in the article being prepared by your editorial office, we indicate that the publication of the Management Board’s statement dated 23 February 2026 was not preceded by the conclusion of a special paid agreement for the broadcasting of dedicated material concerning the statement.
Kind regards
Arkadiusz Grzesikowski, CEO/President of the Management Board
