The first half of the match was not particularly exciting. Play took place mainly in the middle of the pitch. Both teams tried to create good scoring opportunities, but attacks rarely ended with shots on target. The visitors took several shots from a distance of 30–40 metres. They posed no serious threat to the BKS goalkeeper.
In the 25th minute, our players could have taken the lead. Following a well-constructed attack down the left side of the pitch, Rissmann received an accurate pass, but the visitors’ goalkeeper saved his shot. Four minutes later, the visitors took the lead from what appeared to be an innocuous attack. Walusiak took advantage of a ball played from the right side of the pitch. Inside the BKS penalty area, he shot first time into the bottom-right corner of Przykłota’s goal. From then on, Zagłębie led 1–0.
In the 39th minute, BKS had a chance to equalise. Pietkiewicz was fouled approximately 30 metres from the Zagłębie goal. Pietrzak struck the free kick powerfully, but the visitors’ goalkeeper managed to catch the ball.
The game became much livelier in the second half. From the referee’s opening whistle, BKS immediately set about making up the one-goal deficit. The Zagłębie players also increased the tempo, and they created more chances and shot more frequently. As early as the 47th minute, a good save by Przykłota prevented BKS from conceding a second goal.
Rissmann equalised for the Bolesławiec side in the 72nd minute. After confusion in the visitors’ penalty area, he beat the Zagłębie goalkeeper with a gentle shot into the left corner. However, the joy of the Bolesławiec players and supporters did not last long. A minute later, the visitors scored their second goal. Murdza was the successful scorer. From that moment, Zagłębie led 2–1.
BKS had several more chances to change the unfavourable result before the final whistle. Pietkiewicz, Rissmann and Halkowicz all had opportunities to score. Unfortunately, the Bolesławiec side failed to find an equaliser before the end of the match. BKS lost 1–2 to Zagłębie II Lubin.
