The incident occurred on February 15 in Nowa Wieś. Firefighters from Nowogrodziec:
(...) at 11:47 a.m., together with OSP Zebrzydowa and the emergency medical team, we began providing qualified first aid to an injured person showing no vital signs.
The firefighters took over from the witnesses, initiating cardiopulmonary resuscitation using an AED.

Shortly afterward, the emergency medical team arrived. After about an hour-long struggle by the firefighters and paramedics, the injured person was taken to hospital.
