During activities carried out in Warta Bolesławiecka Municipality, officers from the Police Station in Kruszyn uncovered an instance of illegal electricity consumption in one of the apartments.
Statement:
During a conversation with the police, the 32-year-old resident was unable to produce an electricity supply agreement or indicate the meter assigned to the premises she occupied. Consequently, with the support of energy company employees, the officers inspected the installation.
An inspection of the electrical box confirmed interference with the electrical installation through the creation of an illegal connection. It was established that the so-called bridging of electrical wires bypassed the meter, enabling electricity to be consumed without being recorded.
The woman will now face charges for stealing electricity. Under the applicable regulations, she faces up to five years in prison.
