Bolesławiec is still known for high fuel prices. Last week, a reader sent us a photo of fuel prices at the PKN Orlen station in Lubań. At the Orlen station there, 95-octane petrol cost PLN 5.47, while diesel fuel cost PLN 5.69.
Meanwhile, at the Orlen station in Bolesławiec, on Zgorzelecka Street, 95-octane petrol cost PLN 5.77, while diesel fuel cost PLN 6.19. It is easy to calculate that in the city of ceramics, at a station operating under the same company’s brand, petrol was 30 groszy more expensive, while diesel fuel was 50 groszy more expensive.
What are prices like at the other stations in Bolesławiec?
It can be said that overall, prices are still high and do not differ much. At Amic stations, we will pay a few groszy less. At the Pieprzyk station on Modłowa Street, however, on Saturday, February 7, 95-octane petrol cost PLN 5.67, while diesel fuel cost PLN 6.04.

Local governments in Poland are fighting high fuel prices
The problem of high fuel prices has persisted in Bolesławiec for years. There are many towns throughout the country facing a similar problem. In Chełm, Płock, Stalowa Wola, Konin and Ostrołęka, local authorities decided to launch municipal fuel stations. This was because the situation in their local fuel markets was similar to that in Bolesławiec.
