Bolesławiec County obtained PLN 151,000 in funding from the State Fund for the Rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities, which was transferred to Gmina Bolesławiec to purchase a specialised minibus adapted for transporting people with disabilities, including students who use wheelchairs.
The vehicle was purchased as part of the project “The Road to Education – Supporting the Mobility of Students with Disabilities”. The total value of the project amounted to PLN 252,888.
The symbolic handover of the vehicle was attended by Deputy Bolesławiec County Head Patryk Hałka and County Executive Board Member Alina Zarembecka, while the minibus was received by Gmina Bolesławiec Head Andrzej Janiec.
The purchased minibus is equipped with:
– an access ramp enabling a wheelchair to be safely loaded,
– a dedicated electric wheelchair winch,
– a wheelchair restraint system.
The investment was carried out as part of the PFRON Targeted Programme “Equalising Differences Between Regions III”, Area D.
