The incident occurred on Sunday morning in Olszyna. As eluban.pl reports, the medical rescuers were traveling to a patient. At a bend near the restaurant, the driver lost control on the icy road, skidded and struck the wheel against the curb, damaging the rim.

Service:

Initially, it was hoped that replacing the damaged wheel would resolve the problem. OSP Olszyna volunteer firefighters heading to the station and residents of Wolności Street came to the rescuers’ aid. Unfortunately, after the replacement, it turned out that the damage was more serious because the wheel was locking up.

The Lubań newspaper adds:

The attitude of the OSP firefighters and residents of Wolności Street in Olszyna, who immediately came to the rescuers’ aid, deserves praise. They also looked after the crew and prepared hot drinks.

This was not the last such incident at the bend in question. The eluban.pl website reports:

(…) while the ambulance was waiting for a tow truck, the driver of a BMW skidded at the same bend and knocked down a bollard.

However, the driver did not stop and drove away from the scene, witnesses told us.
