According to the eluban.pl website, two more crates of ammunition were found at the site.
We recently reported on the electrifying discovery in Pilchowickie Lake. In December last year, diver Marcel Korkuś not only found a sunken car there, but also a rifle and crates filled with ammunition.
The result? A bomb-disposal operation began there on January 12. Some highly specialized personnel were brought to the site—the Mine Divers Group of the 12th Minesweeper Squadron from Świnoujście. They face an extremely difficult task because the lake is covered with ice.
The goal? To retrieve whatever else is still on the bottom. What else the divers will discover in this body of water remains to be seen. We will certainly return to the subject.
