Bolesławiec City Councillor Dawid Sarbak has submitted a request to the Bolesławiec county head concerning an analysis of the possibility of creating an additional traffic lane—a so-called right-turn lane—at the exit from Staroszkolna Street onto Bolesława Chrobrego Street.
As the councillor points out, the request was submitted to the county head because Staroszkolna Street is a county road and therefore falls under the authority of the county government.
The proposed solution is intended to improve traffic flow in this part of the city, which is already often heavily congested. In the councillor’s view, traffic volumes may increase further in the future, partly due to the planned construction of a new retail park nearby.
The request concerns a technical and organisational analysis that will make it possible to assess whether introducing an additional right-turn lane is justified.
