Winter at Polana is a time of great sporting excitement. Among the numerous competitions were Puchar Polski w biathlonie, FIS Race and Puchar Polski w biegach narciarskich. We also hosted athletes taking part in the IBU Junior Cup – as many as 230 competitors from 32 countries. The atmosphere was unique: snowy scenery, unforgettable emotions and the spirit of sporting community. There was also the 49. Bieg Piastów, which attracted more than 1,500 participants from Poland and across Europe.
Spring and summer revealed Polana’s other, equally intense side. The calendar included Gravel Adventure Poland, GravON Karkonosze, the Polish Championships in roller skating, Letni Bieg Piastów and BikeFest. Numerous sports camps, training camps and club gatherings were held at Polana. Polana Jakuszycka hosted athletes from various disciplines – wrestlers, track and field athletes and footballers – as well as young people from the Czech Republic and Germany, who trained in favourable mountain conditions.
The year 2025 was also a time of sports education. Karkonoska Szkoła Górska conducted mountain safety training, while an international IBU training session for biathlon coaches enabled an exchange of experience. There were also industry meetings, congresses and conferences, as well as promotion of Polana Jakuszycka throughout the region.
