5 December, a ceremony marking Voluntary Blood Donation Days was held in the Councilors’ Hall in Bolesławiec. Once again, the event showed what an extraordinary community is formed by the blood donors of the Municipal HDK-PCK Club in Bolesławiec.
It was an excellent opportunity to thank and honor the people and institutions supporting the development of blood donation. It is thanks to voluntary blood donors that saving the lives of many patients is possible.
It is worth remembering that people aged 18 to 65 who enjoy good health can become blood donors, as can those:
- who weigh at least 50 kilograms,
- who have not undergone acupuncture, tattooing, ear piercing or piercing of other body parts within the last 6 months,
- who have not undergone any surgical, endoscopic or other diagnostic procedures within the last 6 months (e.g. gastroscopy, panendoscopy, arthroscopy or laparoscopy),
- who have not been treated with blood or blood products within the last 6 months.
