We have already reported several times on the construction of Sokola Street. At one of the previous city council sessions, a plan was presented that included:

  • construction of a bituminous road with a total length of approximately 830 m,
  • construction of pedestrian pavements together with a cycle path and access routes to buildings, drainage of the road corridor through the construction of a stormwater drainage system with inlets and sewage manholes,
  • construction of road lighting with LED fixtures.

The investment, worth more than PLN 4.6 million, was to be completed by the end of October 2025. Unfortunately, for now, the investment has stalled. Residents have been asking us about it.

We sent an inquiry to the city office. Here is the response from Agnieszka Gergont, Spokesperson for the Bolesławiec City Office:

On October 24 this year, an application for a permit to construct the road on Sokola Street was submitted to the Bolesławiec County Office. Once the decision has been obtained and become legally binding, work related to the construction of the road will begin.

It seems that the residents of Sokola Street will have to be patient and wait a little longer.
