The Akademickie Liceum Ogólnokształcące in Legnica, under the leadership of Bolesławiec resident Dariusz Wędzina, became the scene of a legal dispute after he was dismissed in April 2024.
As reported by tulegnica.pl, Wspólnota Akademicka president Jerzy Stefaniak handed Wędzina his notice of termination. "He did so suddenly, without warning, after 20 years of impeccable work as principal, at a moment that could have had disastrous consequences for students taking their final exams."
The dismissal, carried out suddenly and without warning, just before the final examinations, was deemed to be without grounds or justification. The court awarded Dariusz Wędzina compensation, arguing that returning him to his position a year and a half after his dismissal would serve no purpose.
Dariusz Wędzina does not wish to comment on the judgment because it is not final.
