By the time the traffic lights were activated, accidents and collisions had occurred at the intersection. Most often, the cause was failure to yield the right of way by drivers entering the intersection from Góralska Street.
Since the traffic lights began operating, the situation has improved. No serious road incidents have occurred there. It therefore appears that the main purpose of installing the traffic lights at this location has been achieved.
Perhaps a similar solution would work at another accident-prone intersection, namely the Spokojna–Piastów intersection?
And what do our readers think about this?
