New regulations on waste sorting have been introduced. As reported by rynekzdrowia.pl:
(…) many cemetery managers are introducing red containers for used LED lights and batteries. If there is no red container at the cemetery, the waste should be taken away and disposed of at a collection point or a PSZOK.
What is more, failure to comply with these rules may result in a fine. The portal states:
Disposing of LED lights or batteries in the wrong container carries a PLN 500 fine. Failure to comply with waste-sorting regulations violates the law and significantly hinders proper waste recycling.
Furthermore, if we refuse to accept the fine, the case may be referred to court. The court may impose a fine of up to PLN 5,000.
