Born in 1964, he took his first steps on the acrobatic mats at the age of ten, under the guidance of coach Zygmunt Biegaj at Górnik Złotoryja club. Passionately, he progressed through successive levels of competition—from local and provincial events to national arenas, where he competed in men’s fours, men’s pairs and mixed pairs. His determination and talent earned him Polish championship titles in the Cadet, Junior and Senior categories.
The beginning of the 1980s brought new challenges—Marek became interested in tumbling and quickly began achieving success. In 1981, he won the silver medal at the Polish Championships in Opole, and a year later he won the national title in Puławy. His constant work, sporting ethics and pursuit of perfection meant that from 1980 to 1986 he represented Poland on the national team, both in fours and in tumbling.
Marek’s sporting career ended in 1987, but his involvement with movement, art and performances did not. As a circus artist, he made guest appearances at the renowned Williams Althoff Circus, infecting audiences with his energy and passion. From 2019 to 2021, he shared his experience with dance and arts clubs in Upper Silesia, inspiring successive generations of young movement enthusiasts.
From the 2021 school year, he served as an artistic acrobatics instructor at the Ocelot Foundation in Bolesławiec. Due to the enormous interest in the classes, his son Patryk joined him, creating an exceptional instructor duo appreciated by both preschool children and school students.
Marek Jaworowski left behind not only sporting achievements, but also countless memories, kindness and inspiration. He was regarded as a charismatic coach and creator of spectacular performances, including the human tower demonstration during the original Bolesławiec Gliniada. His contribution to the development of acrobatics in the region and his efforts to popularize this extraordinary discipline have left a lasting mark in the hearts of many people.
Thank you, Marek, for the energy, dedication, humor and passion you carried within you—and for inspiring so many people, showing the value of teamwork and the beauty of movement. Farewell—you will live on in the memories of those you met along the way.
